Pulling her up his body, his cock had been at half-mast and decided to rise to the occasion. His mate seemed thrilled as her hands reached down to stroke him twice before she rose up and lowered herself onto his erection. It was a joy to lie back and watch her pleasure him. Cheeks flushed and head thrown back, she began to ride him. His hands were drawn to her breasts as they swung back and forth faster and faster as she picked up speed.

Sex for him had never been a loving thing. It had been a tool of necessity and had dealt with the need that could overwhelm Majuri males. He had experimented and he had learned how to please a female, but he had never felt a soul to soul connection like the one Shay made him feel. He had never wanted to do everything and anything to see what would please her. He’d never submitted to a female like this and he knew he would do it again whenever she wanted him to.

She rocked back and forth, once in a while she rolled her hips and it felt incredible. He was rock hard now and just needed her to cum before he allowed himself the pleasure. It was his number one rule and now more important than ever before. The female always finds her bliss first more than once if possible. He wanted to give her so much joy she couldn’t even imagine life without him. It was essential she cum soon or he would explode so he moved one hand to the spot where their bodies met and found her little nubbin. It was slick and he circled it with his fingers as she moaned her pleasure.

He was desperate for her to cum now so he pinched it lightly and she went off like a firecracker. There was a burning tingle and he followed her into ecstasy. His body arched and bucked as his hands dug into her hips holding her tight. Relaxed and sated, he felt like he could handle anything now. She leaned down and pressed her upper body against his and it felt good just holding her in his arms, he could stay just like this forever or until life interrupted. It didn’t take long before his comm went off. It wasn’t in his ear, but he could hear it going off on the side table and it felt frustrating to have so little privacy or free time.

“Just answer it, maybe it’s important,” Shay said and he was glad she didn’t sound angry. It was good that she was a soldier too and had probably spent a great deal of time on call herself.

  “Radvar.”

“We caught some of the humans trying to steal a shuttle,” Quirry said.

“We’ll be right there,” Radvar answered.

  “What’s going on?” Shay asked.

“Some of the new arrivals were trying to steal a shuttle,” he explained.

“They were probably sent in for that purpose,” Shay guessed.

“My thoughts exactly, but by the government or another organization?” he asked.

“I suspect you have ways to find out,” Shay said.

He knew the smile he flashed at her was scary, but she didn’t seem fazed. His mate was a strong female and he was glad he would never frighten her. They dressed quickly and headed to the shuttle bay to speak to these humans who had come on his ship under false pretenses. It was a surprise to find a team of six with two females and four males who didn’t look fearful-yet. The fear of aliens would be put into them quickly.

One of the males was acting cocky. “You can just send us home, because I’m not telling you jack shit,” the blond guy said.

“Quirry, we will take him first,” Radvar decided.

Quirry took the blond and started leading him away. “Hey, where are you taking me? I have rights,” he yelled.

“You are a terrorist on an alien ship. What rights do you think you have?” Radvar asked. The first sign of doubt showed on his face.

“You’re an ally of Earth,” he insisted. “There are rules for the treatment of prisoners.”

“We have no such rules, we have methods to make you talk that you can’t even imagine. If you die as a result, there are others we can question.” Radvar explained.

“He never said anything about torture or being killed,” he asked looking nervous.

“Who put you up to this and why did they think you would be successful?” Radvar asked.

“I don’t know how far up the ladder the plan came from, but Senator Hatcher recruited us. He said you were getting humans and our people were worth more than we were getting. He didn’t think you would expect volunteers to steal a shuttle or two,” the blond said.

“Our shuttles have remote repossession devices and a self-destruct that can be triggered from our ship if that doesn’t work. There is no way you could have escaped in it. You also need a code for the shuttle bay doors. They sent you on a suicide mission to test our security. You have been used by some of your people,” Radvar observed.

“Damn them,” the blond guy said.

“Why did you agree to go along with this?” Shay asked.

“My daughter’s handicapped and we have two other kids. It’s hard to make it and they offered a nice bonus. Now I got nothin’ except a prison sentence,” he replied.

“What about the others?” Shay asked.

“I don’t know any of them but one of the guys was talking about making money sticking it to the aliens. I’m thinking not all of them did it because they’re in a bad situation,” he guessed.

“I’d say that will be easy to discover over time since we are headed out to space for a couple of weeks,” Shay observed. “What’s your name?”

“Tom McGuffy, ma’am. Are they going to kill us?” he asked his face pinched with worry.

“No, Tom, they aren’t. Anyone can understand your worry for your children. It takes a special kind of asshole to take advantage of it. We’ll get to the bottom of it and someone will pay, but not those poor people who were taken advantage of or those who did it because they were forced to.”

“Thank you,” Tom said and Radvar could see the relief on his face. He could also see the Shay felt bad for this man and would probably try to help him once she investigated to make sure he was telling the truth.

It was time to make decisions on what to do with the captured humans. He would put Tom to work somewhere with a mentor in charge and a tracking device on him planted without his knowledge. He used his comm to give orders to everyone including Talai who would be in charge of putting tracking devices on all suspicious humans. That would be those captured and any that had dubious connections in their history. He really didn’t need the complications of what amounted to enemy humans on his ship. Starting a new world would be challenge enough.

A week later, he stood on the command deck with Shay next to him and looked at Jaded, their new home. The name was chosen by Shay in honor of her twin, Jade. It looked like one of the colorful marbles some of the human children played with in the rec room. The surface showed swirling clouds of light blue and water was a deep blue that appeared almost black. The vegetation was green, red, and purple. The planet contained many elements the humans weren’t familiar with but only two that the Majuri hadn’t come across on their voyages. Once the team arrived they would go to the surface where Talai would be getting samples to test.

Normally a team headed to the surface would have eight members but Shay had worked on him to include her team and he’d given in because he found it hard to deny her. Talai had insisted on taking her own samples so he had added her too. He did require that they follow his rules. They would have a partner at all times and always stay alert. The planet seemed to call to them.

First, the air would be tested with the best equipment available. The scans taken from orbit were not as precise as scans taken in person. Everyone gathered wearing battle armor and though scans showed the air breathable, they wore their full shields with filters. When your life and that of those close to you were on the line, the best data available was barely good enough.

One second they were on the ship and the next they were on the planet looking around wide-eyed. No matter how many times they stepped on a new world, they never got over the sense of excitement and discovery. They were on a wide open plain but Radvar knew a water source would be nearby because that was what he requested. He could s
ee hills or small mountains in the distance and someone would be bringing transportation down to them. Meanwhile they would walk around and explore. Well-armed, he wasn’t worried about the indigenous lifeforms being a danger to them. He could see dots out across the plain and he knew were animals but was not close enough to their position to see many of their traits. He was certain they would be the core of their food supply.

He glanced around at his companions and they were all focused on the view except for Talai who was already busy at work taking samples like her life depended on it. Not a bad comparison since all their lives depended on knowing what was safe and what wasn’t. She advised them that the air was perfectly fine and they could drop their facemasks.

The humans could consider this a fresh start with a world without pollution or the corruption of their political leaders. It was different for his people since they had come from a world that had been perfect for them. It would still be a challenge and the Majuri loved anything that required them to pit their strength and their determination against a problem. He had no doubt they would succeed, but he knew there would be difficulties ahead for all of them.

It was important to look for signs of intelligent life. If this planet had any, they would have to move carefully. It was against their rules to jeopardize the natural progression of an intelligent race by interfering in any way. It was a difficult rule to follow when living side by side but he would do his best. It was probably too much to hope that a planet this rich in resources would have no creatures of higher intelligence.

Talai had filled her case with samples and locked it off. She activated the signal and they would leave the container for the shuttle to pick up. It was time to move on and explore. Energy coursed through him as he wondered what they would find. This was no simple resupplying mission where they tested a few plants and animals for their safety as food. This world was where Shay and he would raise their children. A child might already rest under her heart and if not, it would happen soon.

They moved toward the plain but the shuttle landed before they got far. The bikes were unloaded and more equipment for Talai. For now, Radvar wanted them to explore and take down a few animals to see what they would be able to eat. A camp would be established for the night and in the morning, the first work crew would arrive. If they were lucky, they would find caves in the small mountains in the distance that seemed to beckon them.

He got on a bike and Shay would ride with him. Some of the others doubled up too since the shuttle couldn’t hold enough bikes for all of them to ride solo. He liked the feeling of Shay hanging on behind him. Junior pulled Talia up behind him and Radvar hoped that he could handle the bike. He’d done training on the simulator, but he’d never actually operated one before. He would keep an eye on him. The other males hadn’t ridden one in person either but they didn’t have his sister riding behind them.

Keeping an eye on everything as best he could, he sped away with the others following. Unsure of what might be in the hip high grasses that grew in colors of green, blue, and red, he made sure his bike was a foot or more above them. They would still be a temptation to lurking predators, but they would have time to shoot or evade them before the beasts made contact with them or their bikes. Seeing so much meat on the hoof, made him certain predators would be nearby.

The first animals they came close to resembled Earth deer except that they were the same colors as the grass they ate and they had a solitary horn in the center of the top of their heads. The horn branched out and seemed heavy to be so tall and wide spread. His theory was it was hollow. The variety of colors the animals had might be caused by which grass they preferred or it might be a natural camouflage. They would learn all the planets secrets in time.

It felt good to be out in a wide open space a breeze blowing on them and a sky overhead. He loved his ship and the adventures of space but nothing felt like being on the ground. Even though it was an illusion on a planet they knew little about, he felt secure. He took out his rifle and shot one of the deer then dropped a tracker on it. The shuttle would follow along picking up any targets that were tagged. It allowed them to concentrate on exploring.

He saw a herd of larger animals in the distance and he suspected water of some kind might be there. His suspicions proved correct as they got closer and saw a river, the water was dark as the soil around it. Dozens of animals of many kinds were near the banks ready to take a drink. There was no vegetation along this path making him feel that it was a crossing or a watering hole. The prints over the bare earth in the area attested to the fact that multiple herds of all kinds drank here. Talai wanted a water sample, but this wasn’t the place to get one. He nodded his head in the direction to go further down the bank where there were no animals.

She said something to Junior and he moved away from the rest of them. Radvar went back to mentally documenting the different types of animals in this area. He knew the cameras on the bikes would catch even more than he could see. He could feel the excitement coming from Shay. It was a sign of their mating bond progressing as it should. A red bird flew near them and it squawked. It was large and he wondered how it would taste.

Talai had her water sample and it was time to move on. He followed the river and he was confident the rest of the team followed him. The mountains were closer and they appeared taller than he had guessed earlier. The ship was scanning the mountains looking for signs of caves. So far only a small one had been located. In a mountain system that large, where there was one, there would be more. If a cave system could be found, they would have a base.

Coordinates had been sent to him and they would track down the first and most likely possibility for a base. It would be two human hours before they made it to the location but he was hopeful that once they did, they would discover what they needed.

A little over two hours later saw them to their destination. “We’ll take a break here to eat, drink, and rest before we hike to the mountain we hope has a cave,” he told everyone once they were off their bikes.

Everyone seemed more than happy for the break because while the bikes were made to be comfortable, riding them for hours was hard on anyone’s ass. Radvar’s was numb and he was looking forward to the hike. They sat at the edge of the mountains on boulders that must have broken off the rocky wall in front of them. He spent the whole rest period thinking over their basic needs, food, water, and shelter.

Once everyone was brought down from the ship, they would have the population of a village overnight. It was a daunting task and they were on a tight schedule. Whether they found a cave or not, more people would be coming down tomorrow. He didn’t intend to lose anyone to stupidity so he would appoint a supervisor and guards for the people’s protection since exploring an unfamiliar planet could be deadly.

Once they were finished resting and slipping away one or two at a time to take care of bodily functions, they needed to go. Using the wrist band that would show him the best way, he signaled to his team it was time to go. Everyone on the team had a wristband as well and they could track each other’s locations and life signs. It was a smart precaution to take during battle or exploration. They started out following what must be the trail of some large animal the size of an Earth horse. It turned out to look more like a goat when they caught up with it and it ran away at an incredible speed. It was large enough to carry one of his warriors and he wanted one. He put it on his mental wish list as they followed the path the animal had taken but at a much slower pace.

He noticed as they followed the trail places where the rain had hollowed out small areas. It would be helpful to find even the beginning of a hollowed out area that they might continue to dig out. His wish was to have a palace built inside the mountain. It was what his people had done in ancient times. The current palace on Majuri was one such place and it was spectacular. There was even an underground lake where he had been able to swim. He had hopes of something similar here with the river so close. If it wasn’t already there, they had the technology t
o create it.

They rounded a curve and he saw an opening. They were still relatively low on the mountain so he had hopes of a larger opening further up as they continued. “I could fit through there,” Shay suggested.

“I’m not ready to risk it yet,” Radvar admitted. Shay rolled her eyes. He wasn’t sure what it meant but she did it often and mostly when she was frustrated.

This time it looked like she wasn’t going to fight him and he was relieved. They continued up the path but as they got higher, he worried about falling off the edge. His concern wasn’t for him or his males it was for the humans and his sister. If they didn’t find a cave entrance soon, he would make the decision to turn back for the day. Shay let out a yell making him look to see what was wrong. She had found another entrance and while he could make it in, it would be a tight squeeze.

They all examined the entrance and Talai scanned it. “Looks like there is a huge cavern within. I don’t see any life signs near the entrance but I can’t be sure what might be farther back,” Talai assured.

“I’ll go in first followed by my team. Shay, you’ll wait until I confirm that it is safe inside,” he insisted. She rolled her eyes at him again.

  “What about me?” Talai asked.

“You’ll wait here too. It won’t be long,” he explained. None of those left behind looked happy. He ignored their obvious ire at him and just pushed his way into the cave entrance and his males followed him.

Once they were inside, they stood together and stared at the cavern in awe. An array of stalagmites and stalactites, some resembling furniture, encompassed the outer edges of the dome. In his opinion this place was solid and with some reinforcements it would stand the test of time, making it a great castle for the chieftain and his mate.

Radvar quickly sent a message to Shay and her team to join them in the cavern. Once inside Shay and he stood taking in the beauty of the cavern. Surprisingly, the dome and the walls were represented in many colors.
