She wanted to retch, but there was no time. The lizard men were stalking their prey and people were panicked. She ran to the nearest one and engaged. She hoped to God she and her family would make it out of this alive.

  Chapter 3

  The Attack

Radvar sat with his top five males. He had called all of them together to see how this team of Earth warriors would fight a squad of Dramites. They hadn’t fought with swords and other primitive hand held weapons in generations so he didn’t expect much. When he saw the three smaller warriors and realized they were female, his stomach clenched in fear for them. His eyes were immediately drawn to the most aggressive female who engaged a Dramite right away. She was small, but she was fast. She slashed and ran, moving in and out gracefully and cutting her adversary with each stroke.

One of the other females was in trouble and his female had noticed. The risk she took to take out her enemy fast was terrible. She jumped in low just under his arm and stabbed him in the soft spot on the underside of the shoulder. It was a hard spot to get so he wasn’t sure they had even pointed it out to the humans. A fountain of blood erupted and blood spewed everywhere. Showing she had cut an artery The Dramite fell into a puddle if his own blood and would bleed out in seconds. Turning, she helped out her team mate just in time to prevent the other female from losing her head.

With two of the Dramites down, they easily dispatched the rest. Radvar knew the humans would still need them. If they’d had more of these incredible soldiers, they would have asked for more teams to be moved to the other places Dramites attacked. They had probably lost nearly a hundred humans and taken out less than ten Dramites. There were the six the team had killed and three or four that had been taken out by frightened human crowds who went crazy and piled on the Dramites pummeling and suffocating them to death. The Dramites would ensure they attacked in less crowded areas next time. They didn’t have the mental acuity that the Majuri or even the humans seemed to have, but they usually learned from their mistakes.

The Dramites were still great enough in number to cause the humans massive losses. Radvar hated allowing the Dramites to kill humans so viciously, but he needed them to agree to his terms or he couldn’t help them. It was the burden of a ruler that often he sacrificed potential allies to get what his own people needed. He hated using politics but he felt he had no choice.

The human president called him. “Did you see how well our team did?” Mark Banon asked.

“Yes, did you see how many of your people were killed or taken at the other sites the Dramites visited?” Radvar asked.

The human turned an odd purple color. A vein throbbed on his forehead and he drew in a deep breath before he answered. “Yes, I am aware. Why would you sit back and allow this to happen? These creatures are your enemy. You’re allowing them to run rampant. I just don’t understand.”

“You see how strong they are and how well they are protected. Why would you ask me to risk my people and offer me nothing in return? I have watched your news feeds and I know things don’t work that way on your planet. Something is given in return for services that are expected. Give me what I ask for and I’ll risk my warriors to rid you of this Dramite infestation. You have a saying that fits them, they breed like rats. If they become established on your planet, may the gods have mercy on you.” Radvar hung up. His message given and received. He would wait now and not act like he was anxious, that would send the wrong message.

He wished he could ask about the female warriors. He especially wanted to meet the aggressive female that had killed two Dramites in defense of her team mate. He wondered what she looked like and he was desperate to know more. He looked at Rasmun, his number four and his communications officer. “Monitor Earth channels and give me a full report on the three females that were fighting, especially the one that killed two Dramites. I want everything on her,” he ordered. This female fascinated him.

He’d always known he would need a strong female that could stand at his side, but one that could battle beside him? No way had he ever dreamed he would find such a female. Rasmun left to get on the computer set up to monitor all of Earth’s communications which were many. It seemed they had much to say and little security in place. Discovered by the others, they had better learn to talk less and listen more. Impatience ran through him as he thought about learning more about his female. She was not yet his, but if everything checked out, she soon would be.

Earth couldn’t hold their own against a Dramite invasion and now that they had tested Earth’s defenses which were barely existent, the Dramites would move up the attacks and soon they would begin to invade. The Dramite ship orbited a good distance away from the Majuri ship and he knew they kept a close eye and ear on what was going on. They would take advantage of Earth’s delay by raiding and stocking up on the tender humans. The human prisoners would also be questioned to see what other resources might prove useful to them.

The president was a fool. Nothing they had was worth allowing the carnage that would soon follow. His special team might give him hope but they were only six people and it had taken all their skill to survive a one on one battle. The Dramites would double their team’s numbers on the next raid. Instead of six, there would be twelve. What would the team do then?

He waited for the call the stubborn politician didn’t make. The next raid by the Dramites would come soon and Earth would be unprepared. Giving in to his impatience he made the call.

“Radvar, so nice to hear from you,” the oily politician said. He had given Radvar a direct line.

“I’m giving you some added insight into how the Dramites fight. They will raid again soon and each attack will come sooner than the one before it as they gain confidence. Their numbers, the ones they send to attack you, will also double. You have six good warriors and I hope for their sake you have six more to send with them or they will be outnumbered.”

“Why didn’t you tell me this sooner?”

“What happens to you and your people is within your control. Make the deal and when they raid, my warriors will meet them.”

“Meet them and show me you can handle them without any human losses and I will give my approval to the deal and present it to the senate for approval. I’m sure they will pass it. They are a bunch of sniveling cowards about to pee themselves over this situation.”

“I will give you this gift as long as you send your team as well. They will have six of my warriors to aid them. Once the battle is over, they will come back to my ship for a visit. I wish to meet these exceptional warriors.”

“Agreed as long as you send them back after the visit. Stay in touch.”

Radvar was thrilled with the outcome of the deal. He’d have a chance to meet these females that fought like males. He was especially excited about meeting the aggressive one he called his. Now it was just a matter of waiting on the Dramites and something told him they wouldn’t wait long.

Rasmun came in and dropped a vid disk on Radvar’s desk. “It’s about time,” Radvar declared.

“You wanted me to be thorough. This team is like their best and even though they’re young, they’re all officers and they all have a great deal of combat experience. They are also all family,” Rasmun explained.

  “Family?” Radvar asked.

“They are all part of the same family. Apparently this family has had a large presence in Earth’s military for many generations,” he observed.

“Not unlike some of the families we have at home,” Radvar compared.

“They seem to be the military family of Earth having a large presence in times of trouble like now. Is there anything else you need down?” he asked.

Radvar smiled. It was a scary smile that showed the sharp canines his people still had, a leftover from primitive times. It was a notable difference from humans who had blunt teeth that weren’t very efficient in battle. The thicker claw like nails on their hands and feet were another difference. His sister, Talai and his chief healer had assured him the Maju
ri used a larger portion of their brain than the average human too.

“Now that you’ve asked, I need a team of six on standby to hunt some Dramites. I intend to lead the team so five more warriors,” Radvar ordered.

“I’m sure I know who else will want in on this,” Rasmun said.

“Tell them to hurry, it won’t be long,” he directed. Waiting was the hardest part but soon he would meet her.

As soon as the door closed he slid the vid disc into his computer. He scrolled to a picture and he knew it was her. She was gorgeous, even more beautiful than his imagination had conjured. She had all the traits of a warrior and he intended to have her. Even if they found a way home she would be a perfect mate for him and what female wouldn’t be honored to be his? Females of all ages and backgrounds had chased him ever since puberty and he had slaked his lust, every warrior did, but something had always been lacking and now he knew what it was. His perfect mate had been hiding far away in time and space.

Until she was his, he would dream of dark hair with the hint of fire in it and those deep blue eyes the color of rare gems. Her skin, a warm tan color, made him want to run his hands all over it. Her lips begged to be devoured in a fiery kiss and nothing would keep his hands from squeezing her ample bosom the moment he claimed her.

The other two females were lovely too, but she was the one for him. Her sister’s pale beauty would draw in many of his warriors while her cousin’s dark looks would draw in the rest. Between them, any male would fall. He was almost certain that all three of these females would eventually be chosen but he was completely certain that Shay Haygood was the one for him. He’d been watching some of the human television shows and they had a term that fit, he would call dibs on her.

His top five came in one at a time to claim their spot on the team that would fight the Dramites. They discussed the deal he had made with the president to see if any of them had any valuable insights. “So he basically wants to see what we have to offer?” Rasmun asked. Radvar nodded.

“That makes no sense,” Darin observed. “The vid we sent them shows how we fight the Dramites.”

“Why would he mislead us,” asked Quirry. “What will he gain?”

“Time to come up with another solution?” Juarry suggested.

“Have you no thoughts Collin?” Radvar asked.

“I’ve heard Rasmun pulled off some pretty pictures for you. Care to share?” Collin asked.

Actus had been quiet and he smirked. “What’s this about pictures?”

“Fine, I’ll show them to you since you’ll meet them anyway. The middle one is mine, I call dibs like the humans do,” Radvar said his voice a growl like a beast. No matter how much they evolved, a Majuri warrior always had a touch of the beast. He placed the pictures in order with Jade’s first, then Shay, and finally Jules. He pressed the button and the pictures were displayed on a large screen on the wall. His men stared, their eyes wide.

“I call dibs on the first one,” said Darin.

“I call dibs on the last one,” said Collin. “This dibs you say the humans use means she’s mine, correct?”

“Yes, that is their way to claim anything first,” Radvar explained. It was an efficient system.

“Hey, what about the rest of us?” Quirry wondered.

“You will have your turn when the humans approve the deal. Meanwhile, I see nothing wrong with down loading their databases and checking out the potential mates available. You may only choose from unattached females and you need to keep in mind the possibility that we may be colonizing an uninhabited planet. Make sure they are tough and capable or they won’t hold up to the demands of a primitive life. Also remember, we are looking for mates, not prostitutes,” Radvar explained. “You may let your males know what is going on and they may check out the potential females as well once you have called dibs. They must call dibs first to secure the first chance at a female.”

They all seemed to understand the plan and the system he had put in place. They all left but if the alarm went off alerting them to the Dramites heading to the surface, they would be ready in a minute. He had no doubt that they would be victorious, he just worried about the human team, especially the females. It was time to go to his room and rest. Hopefully the vile Dramites would pick a convenient time to attack. If they did, it would be the first time.

He entered his quarters. They were the largest set of rooms on the ship. They were made for a king because that was what he was to the Majuri. It was his job to make the decisions for his people not like this human president who had to ask others to support him. If he was misleading them, he would suffer for it. It would not be anything Radvar or his people did, it would be what they did not do.

Undressing, he threw his clothes in a small bin. When he removed it, it would be clean and ready to wear. He stretched, it felt nice after all the time he’d spent sitting and he decided to take a shower to relax. The hot water hit his body and he couldn’t control the thoughts in his mind. A lovely vision with dark hair that showed strand of fire in the light stood before him. She dropped to her knees smiling as she offered him her hands and her mouth. Dear goddess! Taking him in her hands, she stroked him until he was nearly undone.

Her skin felt so soft and silky, but her mouth, oh goddess, it was so hot and wet. She moved her tongue over the head of his cock and licked off the bead of cum that had gathered there. “Mm, that tastes so salty sweet,” she said in a husky voice. “Got any more of that?”

“I’ve got all you can swallow, Darji,” he said using an endearment that refused to translate to English.

“Bring it on, Baby.” She slid her mouth over his cock and continued until she touched his bare groin. She moaned and the vibration drove him half out of his mind but he wanted it to last longer.

Knowing his cock was weeping, he was torn between the need to empty into her throat and the desire to fill her womb with his seed. She moved her mouth back up his cock her cheeks hollowed and her tongue sliding up his length as she moved. When she reached the top her tongue swiped over the end and then she slid down to the bottom again.

Sweet Sheia goddess of love! He didn’t think he could stand much more but when she sped up moving up and down, the fourth time was a charm and he blew his load. His cock emptied as strings of white ropey cum hit the wall of the shower and his hand moved up and down. No fantasy had been so real since just before the first time he’d had sex. If dreaming about her felt so damn good, he couldn’t wait until he had her in his arms and warming his bed. He would worry about the others once he had his own mate claimed.

Quirry was his biologist and he’d found three possible planets nearby for them to colonize if need be. If he could have her no other way, he would revert to old customs and steal her away. Earth would never make it that far in space and she’d be his. Once in his arms, she would melt and admit she wanted him just as much as he wanted her. She would be unable to hide her need and she would instantly submit to him. He went to bed with her on his mind and his dreams were red hot all night long.

At least they were the part of the night that he slept. He wasn’t sure how long he’d been in a deep restorative sleep when his personal alarm went off. Immediately, he got out of bed, put on his clothing and his armor, and grabbed his sword and put his comm unit in his ear. Making his way to the transport spot in less than two minutes with half his men bursting through the door right after him, the other two were seconds behind. He nodded and they were on the surface of the planet immersed in chaos in the blink of an eye. Her team had arrived a second after theirs.

He had his first Dramite dead a second after that. Her team was doing well, but one of the females was in trouble. It wasn’t her, but she was moving toward her relative ready to give assistance. Seeing she was fine, he moved to help one of the males who was fighting a particularly aggressive and well trained Dramite. He pushed the male out of the way and dispatched the Dramite in just slightly longer than his usual time. By then, the fight was over.

His female stepped up to him and he figured she wanted to thank them for their help. “What was that all about?” she asked softly.

Her voice washed over him, yes, this was the female for him. “We had an agreement with the president to help with this raid,” he explained certain he would get his thanks now. Maybe she would even give him a kiss. He’d heard humans did that.

She removed her helmet and he looked at her blue eyes, they seemed to shoot fire. Maybe it was residual adrenaline spiking her system. “No, I meant why did you take over Trevor’s fight? He was doing fine,” she stated.

“Why did you help the other female?” he asked.

“She needed help, but I only aided her. Trevor would have been fine and he needs the practice. I’d appreciate if next time you help only when you’re needed,” she said as she stomped off.

“Looks like you have her eating out of your hand, Radvar,” Darin choked out while trying not to laugh.

“You have your own concerns, little brother,” Radvar pointed out. “I wouldn’t tease too much until you’re sure you won’t have a similar problem.

Darin looked over at the female he wanted and Radvar could see the longing in his eyes. He was still young, but many warriors were mated by Darin’s age. Just as many waited until Radvar’s age or older. In ancient times, warriors had mated young to ensure they would have children. Due to war and heavy losses as they spread out over the galaxy, warriors rarely lived to old age. Exploration was one of the most dangerous jobs, the learning curve was sharp and his people had learned their lessons the hard way. They had developed rules like having the air tested before trying to breathe a new atmosphere, testing the water, any possible food, and taking ample weapons.
